I took this as a sign that I wasn't meant to teach where I was teaching and immediately commenced the hunt for a replacement job.
Not to toot my own horn, but I've got degrees and really solid experience with my past jobs, so I thought finding a new job would be okay.
Ha ha ha ha.
Apparently, it doesn't matter if you have degrees and experience, NO ONE WILL CALL YOU.
And I have to be honest, it's an exhausting experience that I don't wish upon my worst enemy.
I've applied for everything you can think of and my phone is silent.
One the nice side of things, I have more time to spend with my little girl (the big girl has school) and I have more time to devote to my true passion: writing.
I've written a novel and I'm in the editing phase.
Maybe my losing my job is a sign that I should devote myself to writing?
Or maybe it is just a sign that the economy really, really sucks.
