Review: Crayola Marker Airbrush and Digital Light-Designer

Art is big in our house.

My oldest doesn't even leave the house without her sketch book and she's always after me to stop what we are doing and let her sketch birds or flowers or fish.

I love it.

I do everything I can to foster her love of art and my youngest daughter's love of making a mess.

Crayola is a go-to in our house.

We recently tested out some new Crayola products: the Marker Airbrush and the Digital Light-Designer.

My oldest, obviously, was excited about it.

We started with the Marker Airbrush. How it works is that you insert one of the markers into a holder, pump the handle on the special compressor and pull the trigger.

I wasn't the biggest fan of this toy because you had to continuously pump the compressor and very little color would come out, or color would come out in spurts and get all over the paper.

We also tested out the Digital Light-Designer. It is a 360 degree drawing surface where you use a stylus to create your masterpieces then you have the can activate them so that they move around, melt away and change colors. There's also options to play games on the drawing surface and make movies of your drawings.

The Digital Light-Designer was a lot of fun for the girls. The stylus was comfortable for them to use and the surface was easy to draw on.

As a Mom, the only thing I worry about is them knocking the device off the table.

Another thing about it is to be prepared with batteries because nothing sucks more than having an awesome toy for your kids to play with and a lack of batteries.

Regardless, my girls were happy and in turn that makes me a happy Mom.

The Crayola product to try, information, and additional gift pack have been provided by Crayola. All opinions in this post are 100% my own.
