Local Review: Lone Star Steakhouse

It's no joke, I love food.

Like seriously love food.

I also love when I get the chance to check out a restaurant without my kids.

Yes, I know. That sounds bad, but you've never been to a restaurant with my kids.

I'm only half joking here.

But not about the food and going out part.

A few years back, probably like ten, I went to a touristy steak house by Disney and had a great time with my girlfriends. We ate peanuts, threw the shells on the floor and drank sticky sweet colored drinks.

Fast forward ten years and I went to the same restaurant and got a completely different experience.

Lone Star Steakhouse has changed up their act and they've matured (like me).

Gone is the peanuts (I didn't miss them as much as I thought I would). The atmosphere is calm, soothing and smells amazing.

My goal with Lone Star Steakhouse was to have a truly amazing meal, hang out with a good friend and  maybe steal the chef because I cannot cook a steak to save my life and I love steaks (again, kidding just not about the cooking steaks part).

I'm a sucker for strawberry lemonade and they did not fail me. It was perfect.

I tried fried green beans and again, was not disappointed. Delicious, I highly recommend them.

With every good steakhouse comes a great steak before your meal.

My massive Del Marco steak was mouth-watering and huge... look at the size of it.

And dinner is never complete without a dessert, never.

Lone Star Steakhouse was simply an amazing experience for me.

From the moment I stepped in, I was taken care of with the friendliest staff around. They trained their employees well and their personalities make the whole thing an experience. My waiter answered every single question I had, and I had a lot, and made us feel right at home.

I even got a chance to ask the chef for a few tips about making steaks (he wouldn't spill the best secrets though).

Overall, I highly recommend Lone Star Steakhouse. You will not be disappointed.

Lone Star Steakhouse is located around the country so check out their website for more information and locations.

My Lone Star Steakhouse was located at 8850 Vineland Ave., Orlando, FL 32821.

If you have a location near you, I've got something right up your alley. A gift card to experience your own steak heaven.

All I need you to do is leave me a comment on why you need a night out without the kids.

Easy, huh?

This contest will run until January 8th, 2012 and is open to those in the US. Remember it helps if you have a Lone Star near you or you're planning a trip to Disney (my location is right down the road from WDW).

Good Luck!

With 3 kids chances of a night out does not happen all that much. But I am treating my wife to a 3 day stay out by Disney next month for her birthday with the two oldest kids with in-laws. A nice dinner would be perfect.
