This weekend in Central Florida there are tons, and I mean tons, of things to do. There's the NBA All Star Weekend, the Daytona 500, the Walt Disney World Princess Half Marathon, Sea World's Bands, Brew and BBQ and more.
All of these activities are without a doubt a fun experience, but... they come with lots of crowds, lots of traffic and lots of mayhem.
If you're like me and tense up at the thought of too many people, you can avoid big ticket crowds and opt for smaller activities.
I came up with some great ways to have fun without feeling like a cow in a chute full of other cows.
Check out CoCo Key and its fantastic water park. The weather is in the high 80s today and it's the perfect time to skip the crowds and have some fun.
There's the Orlando Science Center and it's low-key activities that entertain kids of all ages.
You can make the drive out to Fantasy of Flight and spend the day drooling over gorgeous restored airplanes and even take a flight in a Bi-Plane.
If you have a sweet tooth you can spend time at Farris and Foster's mixing up to-die-for chocolate treats.
Or indulge your artist senses and soak in the masterpieces at the Orlando Museum of Art.
All of the above mentioned activities are super fun, I'd done them all and can vouch for them.
And there's a good chance you won't get caught up in the mega crowds and lose your mind.
Have a great weekend!
