Florida Friday: Fun in Central Florida this weekend

This weekend in Central Florida there are tons, and I mean tons, of things to do. There's the NBA All Star Weekend, the Daytona 500, the Walt Disney World Princess Half Marathon, Sea World's Bands, Brew and BBQ and more.

All of these activities are without a doubt a fun experience, but... they come with lots of crowds, lots of traffic and lots of mayhem.

If you're like me and tense up at the thought of too many people, you can avoid big ticket crowds and opt for smaller activities.

I came up with some great ways to have fun without feeling like a cow in a chute full of other cows.

:)

Check out CoCo Key and its fantastic water park. The weather is in the high 80s today and it's the perfect time to skip the crowds and have some fun.

There's the Orlando Science Center and it's low-key activities that entertain kids of all ages.

You can make the drive out to Fantasy of Flight and spend the day drooling over gorgeous restored airplanes and even take a flight in a Bi-Plane.

If you have a sweet tooth you can spend time at Farris and Foster's mixing up to-die-for chocolate treats.

Or indulge your artist senses and soak in the masterpieces at the Orlando Museum of Art.

All of the above mentioned activities are super fun, I'd done them all and can vouch for them.

And there's a good chance you won't get caught up in the mega crowds and lose your mind.

Have a great weekend!

Here is something fun to do coming up next weekend! My kids love the Harlem Globetrotters! Have you ever been to one of their shows? They are amazing, and something everyone should experience at least once! And on the heels of signing one of the most remarkable rookie classes in team history, all your readers in the Orlando area will get a chance to take your kids to their 2012 World Tour on Sunday, March 4 at 2PM at the UCF Arena.

Even better, if you go to http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/2200472EF5C96653 to purchase tickets, you can save $7 when using the promotional coupon code MOM. Restrictions apply.

The wows, the laughs, the magic - these moments become the memories that last a lifetime! Highflying dunks … eye-popping tricks… hilarious jokes … the Globetrotters will have you smiling from start to finish. At the Globetrotters, the game of basketball sets the stage for an experience you will never forget. The Harlem Globetrotters just signed a historic rookie class that includes the top three finishers from the 2011 College Slam Dunk Contest! The Slam Dunk Champion, Jacob “Hops” Tucker, will showcase his ridiculous 50-inch vertical leap. This year’s roster also features the first female in a generation – TNT Maddox – joining Showman Big Easy Lofton. Players and rosters are subject to change. Please visit www.harlemglobetrotters.com for more information on this amazing new team.

I work for Miles Of Marketing and this information was provided to me by them (www.milesofmarketing.com). We are a group of moms passing along great information like this to other moms!
