Yesterday I went for a check up with my cardiologist as a follow up to my surgery.
And after they forgot about me and I had to go hunt someone down, an ultrasound and a round of question and answers, I was given the all clear to resume my normal life!
The first thing I did?
I went straight to Turtle and picked her up for a good solid cuddle.
Turtle is my snuggle buddy and being apart for a whole week was crippling.
So we hugged it out and the world was put back on the correct axis.
Then I got down on the floor and had a huge tickle fest with Roo.
I'm able to resume running too.
I haven't... yet.
I'm still a little off from the beta blockers they have me on (they are going to wean me off of them within the month) and I pulled a muscle in my left foot (don't ask how, I have no clue), so I don't know when I'll get back to pounding the pavement. But eventually I will and I will lose these few pounds I put on from not running and all really will be right in the world.
Oh, and I can drive!
I drove myself to the store last night and it felt glorious!
I feel almost normal (gasps!).
Now it's time to get in the Christmas spirit and start wrapping gifts and baking cookies.
