Black Friday

I only went shopping on Black Friday once.

I was six months pregnant and my friend insisted that I go with to keep her company.

And you know what, it wasn't as crazy as I imaged it would be.

I had always watched the news and seen the crazy people rushing in a store as soon as the doors opened.

We avoided that but did wait three hours in one line to buy some crap that really wasn't that good of a deal.

But at least I had the experience.

And yes, every year on Thanksgiving when I drool over that mountainous pile of advertisements I think about going.

But it only lasts a minute before I think about the over-crowding, the pushing, the lines... Egh.

I would rather pay an extra ten dollars  for a television than deal with that.

Wouldn't you?

I absolutely LOVE Black Friday - that being said, this year SUCKED for several reasons:
1) Stores opened WAYYYY too early and there were WAYYYYY too many KIDS out at 10 and 11 pm.
2) There was a HUGE gap of time (Target opened at 12 and Sears opened at 4.)
3) Walmart started to put out their "deals" at 3pm, so people (not me) were there and there was a huge check out line at 10pm. (Also, they didn't have a limit to the number of "deals" a person could have - so I saw one person with 20! food choppers in her cart.
4) NEITHER Target or Walmart wanted to price match some items because that store didn't open until 4.

Anyway - I guess I have learned, if stores open before 4am next year, I won't be attending.

I DO, however, also love Cyber Monday! Do you do that?
