Shout's GO PLAY

We here in hot, sunny Florida have recently gotten a break in the weather.

Instead of boiling highs in the 90s, we're having dreamy 80s.

If you live in Florida, you know that anything under 90 degrees is a blissful break from the norm.

And in our household have taken full advantage of this temperature drop.

We're spending every moment we can outside. We're rolling in the grass, we're playing in the sand, we're sliding down slides, chalking up the driveway with art and eating lunch under the trees.

It's the best time of year.

Plus, it's good for my girls.

Being outside, being active is so important to children and their development.

The Shout Go Play initiative shares my love for unstructured play and my love for getting messy.

From Shout: "Studies show that unstructured play helps kids build fundamental skills like problem solving, coping and conflict resolution."

To help with great outdoor activity ideas, we got our hands on the "52 Activities In Nature" card pack that is literally packed with great play ideas to do outside. We participated in the leaf and tree bark rubbings, listening for sounds outdoors, identifying colors of the rainbow.

We also just laid there and stared at the clouds.

Shout was also nice enough to send me some stain remover to help get those grass stains out.

Because playing at our house, means getting very dirty.

But I don't mind, as long as we're having fun, dirt is worth it.

So, get out and play.

We've been enjoying the cooler weather too.
We did have to turn the ac back on though recently because it seemed to get a little to muggy in the house..

Looking forward to the day it's completely off!
