Dear Turtle: 7 Months

I remembered being on the operating table when you were born and the doctors said to me that you, literally, tried to climb out of my belly when they cut me open.

And looking back at that moment, I should've known that you were extraordinary.

I mean, I knew it from the previous months while in my belly you had to endure me getting my appendix yanked out, but this cemented the idea that you were going to be my little fighter.

My little go-getter.

My amazing baby.

And now, while I watch you try to walk at 7 months, yes 7 months, I have to shake my head and ask you, "What's the hurry?"

You are growing so fast. You have teeth, you crawl, you pull yourself up, you eat baby food from the jar, you side step while holding on to everything.

The only thing you can't do, is sleep very well alone... but we are working on that.

You are going to do everything fast and all I know is that I need to hang on tight because you are going to give me the ride of my life.

Good thing I have no objection to seat belts.

I love you,

Mommy

SHe's such a cutie patootie! No wonder she doesn't sleep, she has way too much to do!
