Infantino Mom: Eco Sash & Firefly Crib Soother

I don't know about you, but I love babywearing.
It provides me so much ease when I'm busy doing other things. If I'm out working in the garden and need to help prune this or chase Roo away from that, I can do so much easier if I have Turtle straped to my chest instead of in my arms.

Babywearing also gives you the opportunity to snuggle at any moment.

I recently tested out the new Infantino Eco Sash Wrap & Tie baby carrier.

And I must say first that I have no clue why it's called the Eco Sash. I checked the entire package the carrier came in and the website for anything "eco" and found nothing. So maybe it's just a cute name or maybe they named it the Eco Sash because it has a "natural sitting position for baby."

When I pulled the Eco Sash out of the box, I grabbed the instruction and read them.
And read them again.

And then tweeted for help.

I couldn't figure the thing out!

Now I am college educated, but sometimes these baby products get the best of me. I had to call my husband in from the barns to read the instructions and go over the steps with me to get it right.

The Eco Sash has these really wide padded shoulder straps, which in my opinion are too wide. And after getting it on and adjusting the ties and getting Turtle in the thing, it felt uncomfortable. She was leaning to far forward and it felt like she was going to fall out.

So I wiggled and wrestled and got the buckle-free straps tied tighter and felt more comfortable with her in it. Of course she still felt like she was tipping forward, but I just wrapped my arms around her and went out for a walk.

I keep the Eco Sash stashed in my car so whenever we're out and about and Turtle has been in her carseat or she's fussy, I pop her in it and off we go.

She's got attitude.

The Infantino Eco Sash can be worn in three different ways: face in, face out and backpack (which I plan on trying out once the nugget is a bit bigger). It also has a great mesh bag to store it in, comes with a detachable head hoodie to keep the weather out of the baby's face and the fabric panel is reversable so if the hubby wants to use it he can change it to plain black instead of the girly nature pattern.

This month we also had the chance to check out the Infantino Firefly Soother.

Which came just in time. I originally had this fish thing on the crib, but it was dying out. So I popped some batteries in the Firefly Soother attached it to the crib and put it to work.

When installing it on the crib it comes with strings to pull it flush against the crib, but it didn't seem to pull tight enough on our crib so it hangs slightly.

And while it has yet to soothe Turtle to sleep, it has provided entertainment when she's in her crib wide awake.

It distracts her when she's fussy, it makes her smile when she's happy, she can turn it on and off on her own, which is important when I need just one more minute of sleep.

It's a great addition to our crib toys.

The Eco Sash Wrap & Tie Carrier will be available soon at Babies R Us and the Firefly Soother is available now.

I am a participant in a Mom Central campaign for Infantino and have received various Infantino products to as part of my participation. All opinions are 100% my own. Please see my full disclosure policy for more information.

You have her WAY too high in the EcoSash. You also have it folded down in the front. This causes her to feel like she's tipping over. A good fit would be you leaning your head over and kissing the top of her head. Here's a tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_XR7Bv0e1o
