Review: Madeline's Great Adventure

It’s no secret that my daughter is a tomboy.

Dinosaurs, dirt and anything with tires are her favorite things.

So when she takes interest in something girly, not only am I shocked, I’m a tiny bit pleased.

This means she’s well-rounded in my opinion.

What has caught her interest is a new DVD: Madeline’s Great Adventure.

You know Madeline, Ludwig Bemelmans’ sweet little orphan from France. A treasured classic from when I was a child has come back for the next generation to enjoy.

In Madeline’s Great Adventure, Madeline and her puppy Genevieve join her 11 classmates (who all walk in rows of 2) and their neighbor Pepito and have an adventure with an Arabian lamp, pirates, a Prince and the famous 40 thieves.

The DVD has six fun filled adventures (totaling 132 minutes): Madeline And The Magic Carpet, Madeline On Safari, Madeline And The Lost Crown, Madeline And The Gypsies, Madeline And The Pirates, Madeline And The Forty Thieves

Full of fun and adventure, Madeline’s Great Adventure has been on repeat in our house and I couldn’t be happier. Finally, a girly DVD for my tomboy daughter.

You can purchase Madeline’s Great Adventure online or on store shelves on June 29, 2010.

I was given a copy of Madeline’s Great Adventure for this review. All opinions are 100% my own. Please see my full disclosure policy for more information.

I loved the Madeline books as a kid and I remember watching this cartoon series a few times as well... good to see that the show is still around, even if just in DVD form!
