When Turtle was first born, she had some trouble nursing. It was nothing serious, she latched on and ate like she should've but she never stayed for long.

For the first two months, she would nurse for five minutes on each side and go on her merry way.

And honestly, I wasn't used to it.

Roo was a marathon feeder. She could nurse for two hours and be happy.

Not my Turtle.

Until now.

Now my Turtle is a lazy eater that takes her time to get her fill.

And I love it.

I love those crazy, long feedings that involve the two of us, snuggling on the Boppy. We sometimes spend that time gazing at one another in amazement, but we also spend that time snoozing, reading books or watching tv.

And we bond.

We are fusing together, creating this beautiful team.

And I'm so hooked on her.... I mean, come on, wouldn't you be?

What a beautiful image! It makes me miss those days with my daughter who is now off to college. Enjoy this time, it will fly by faster than you think.
