Is Motherhood Not Appealing?

I was reading a parenting magazine and there was an article about a motherhood movie that came out last month. It was a movie I never even saw a trailer for, let alone a poster.

Then I started thinking about past shows on television about motherhood and the "hassles" that come with being a mom, of course with a humorous twist.

None of them seemed to survive (at least to my knowledge).

And I wondered: Why?

Why don't shows and movies about being a hassled mother with too much to do appeal to the masses?

Is it because as Moms we don't want to spend what free time we have being reminded about things that aren't really that funny? Maybe because as Moms we want our entertainment to be soaked with hot vampires or funny leading men that can cook?

What do you think?

Yep I agree... I would rather watch a movie to escape and go into another world... not the one that I'm in already :)
