Eight Sweet Years

Today Mr. Me and I celebrate our eighth year of marriage and we keep looking at one another and saying: Where the hell did time go?

That and: I think it's time to trade you in for a younger model.

When we married, we were young and people couldn't understand why. They all had their own opinions, one being that I had to be pregnant. Another was that we were making a huge mistake.

This is where I laugh in their faces.

While marriage isn't a piece of cake; it's full of hard times, bad times and embarrassing moments. But this marriage, my marriage, is worth every second of good and bad. My marriage to my best friend has evolved so much in the last eight years and significantly since the birth of our daughter. We're not the same people we were eight years ago, we're better.

We've grown separately as well as together.

We've learned so much together that we think we just might know what we're doing.

In eight years, we've traveled, we've experimented, we've become a family. A strong family that knows what's important.

I couldn't be more blessed and today I'm nothing but smiles.
