I hate to admit this, but maybe if I do, I'll do something about it.
My daughter hasn't had swim lessons.
And she's two.
I feel so guilty about this. I mean, I live in FLORIDA! I'm surrounded by water everywhere you look. My father was a fire chief, he taught me how to swim, he's told me what happens when kids don't know how to swim.
And here I am, with a daughter that loves water to no ends.
I plan on making amends and thankfully my favorite magazine, Playground Magazine, has an amazing feature in this month's edition called, "Summer Swim Lesson Guide."
It has tons of resources on where to get swim lessons for the Roo and it's so convenient to have it because now I don't have the excuse that I didn't have time to google. It's all on one page and now it's marked up with my notes, so I can rock and roll.

Do you feel better now that you've confessed? Mine hasn't had lessons either. Neither has Big Fry who's 4. Shameful huh?
Gooser is 5 and hasn't had swimming lessons yet! I'm planing to start this summer though.
For Pickle on the plane I broughts LOTS of stickers and little toys like Littlest Pet Shop and My Little Pony. Also snacks. Good luck on your flioght!

Babe loves the water and I since it's going to be really humid and hot in Louisiana, I figure we'll be heading to the pool a lot. Plus, I want us to visit the ocean each summer while we're there - so yeah.

I just had my daughter (who is almost 3 ) enrolled in swim lessons - they really didn't teach her anything!!!!!!
Ok, I live in Central FL and my child is 3 and hasn't had swim lessons. But, I can count on one hand how many times she's been in a pool. I do want to get her lessons this year though. I'll go check out that article :)
Don't worry girls, the hubby and I were both swimming instructors, life gurards and both were life guard and swim training instructors and our 4.5 year old has not had formal lessons! Yeah I know we are aweful parents... she actually is somewhat afraid of the water.... so don't feel bad!
We even have a pool and Shey just completed his lessons. We had this great woman, who's 83(!!) come to the house and in 5 lessons, he's like a little fish.
