Dirty Confessions

I'm pretty sure the Mommy books say not to do this.

I'm damn positive there's a Moms group someone readying the pitch-forks for me.

I'm hiding inside on one of the most beautiful days in existence.

Wait, it gets worse from there.

I'm hiding inside on a beautiful day and my daughter is glued to the TV watching cartoons.

I'm sure I should duck right about now, I know someone, somewhere is throwing darts at my head for being a bad Mommy.

I'm just sooooooooooooo tired right now and Roo is sooooooooooooo happy watching Winnie the Pooh.

If it helps matters I have the window open and we can peek outside and see (and breath) the fresh air. That has to count for something, right?

You're happy, Roo is happy... sounds about perfect to me!

It's those Mommy books that make us crazy trying to be perfect. If the "Momtourage" only knew so of my secrets...

Oh honey, if watching TV was that bad, I'd been revoked my mommy license a LONG time ago!

No pitch forks coming from here. Some times the best parenting happens when you acknowledge you are tired and allow yourself to rest. Kids learn by example and they need to know that all people need rest.

The day will come that you won't be able to avoid it. So I say stay in when you can and go out when you have to. If that's the worst thing you do to her growing up, I think she'll be alright.

I totally do this all the time. in fact, we did it today. Sometimes, you just need to.

Those who live in glass houses shouln't throw stones (or pitchforks). There are sooooo many other things I do to warp my children, that this does not even make the list! :)
And if it makes you feel better, I'm sure the pollen count was extremely high, so you were just protecting her from an allergy attack. What a great mom you are!

Man, I will def be doing this every now and then when I have children. Sometimes you just need a break!

I get the same crap. We only have one car, and my husband has it during the week. So my toddler and I spend a looot of time indoors. Since he's such a wild boy and runs like mad when freed, I have a hard time going outside with him on my own...so we're usually inside, doing our thing. But I crack a window sometimes too :-)
